In 2007, the EUPFAC acquired the old Sacred Heart Church Hall which we had used many times for performances. It was built in the 1940's and has wonderful original pine wood walls, an intimate stage and a gorgeous stone fireplace. However, it also had a peeling roof, antiquated electric and heating systems. Since we acquired it we have replaced the roof, installed new doors, completely upgraded the electric and lighting, insulated the building, installed new windows, put on a new entry way and portico and this summer put up stonework and new siding. The positive response from the community to the last round of work, the new stone and siding has been astounding. Our building fund is pretty much gone now, so please come to our fundraising events and support this project. we do four dedicated fundraisers per year to raise money for this restoration project. Our biggest fundraiser is the Silent Auction, which is always held the third Saturday in July. Contact the chair Sandy Wytiaz to donate something new, handmade or a gift certificate by calling her at 906-297-6801. Or just come to the auction and bid on our fabulous items. We get original paintings, handmade creations, overnight packages, gift certificates and lots of really great things at our auction.Below is an artist rendering of what the building will look like after restoration.
